Who Are We?

While glass is 100% recyclable, only about 1/3rd of glass is actually recycled in the U.S. After Fairfax County stopped the recycling of glass, we knew that it was our responsibility to the community to start our own service in order to do our part in saving the planet. Often times, the problem of the environment seems too big to have a real effect. However, it is vital that we come together as a community and do our part, each and every one of us, to make sure we save the planet.

After the local disposal companies ended their glass recycling service, I started Patrick’s Glass Recycling in February 2020 as an 18-year-old senior at Oakton High School.  After graduation and as a result of the COVID 19 impact on our community and schools, I decided to take time to focus my efforts to build my recycling service and begin my journey as an entrepreneur.

My hope is that I am able to grow something that is more than just a business, something that will have a real impact on the environment. I hope that you are as excited about this as I am, and that you will join us on this mission.
